About Denise (Potts) Belt...

Denise (Potts) Belt

Denise (Potts) Belt, a broker with National Parks Realty in Bigfork, understands that knowledge and experience working in the local housing market is crucial to a successful property sale. Because Montana is a non-disclosure state in real estate transactions - meaning property sales are not released to the public - an experienced, trusted agent is needed to guide both sellers and buyers through the process.

Denise has been a licensed agent for more than 20 years, receiving her real estate license in 1993 through Flathead ValleyCommunity College. Continuing her education, she became a licensed broker in 1995. That same year, she was also named "Rookie of the Year" for Valley Real Estate in Belgrade. Since then, she has added Certified Residential Specialist to her credentials.

Her other relevant professional experiences include mortgage brokering which gave her insight into the home buying process from the lender's viewpoint. In 1998, Denise was President of Manhattan Montana Chamber of Commerce - a leadership role where she saw firsthand the positive impact of building strong community relationships.

Because Denise operates on an"ability + effort = results" basis, she has repeatedly ranked as a Top Producer in real estate transactions. But that is not all - she is a Flathead Valley native. She lives five miles from where she was raised with her six siblings.

After residing in Alberta, Canada during high school, she realized there was no other place she wanted to call home but here in the Flathead Valley where she enjoys the outdoors much as she did in her childhood. Denise fondly recalled "spending a lot of time with her grandparents, jumping on a horse and riding down to Echo Lake ... or grabbing a fishing pole," only to catch a sunfish that had to be thrown back. One of her favorite hobbies, when she can do it, is team penning and sorting with her horses - a pasttime she hopes to someday share with her three - soon to
be four - grandchildren.

In 20 years as a real estate professional, Denise has seen many changes in the industry but what she loves best of all is "matching homes with clients' lifestyles." Keeping in mind her clients' wants and needs such as hobbies, preferred microclimates of the potential homes, land use and privacy concerns, Denise fulfills their "Montana Dream."

To that end, Denise's homegrown, local knowledge is vital in assisting sellers to properly price their property for a swift sale. As Lonnie and Ulli said of Denise when selling their home, "Our unique situation living in Germany and selling our home in Bigfork could have turned out to be a bad experience, but with her dedication [and] knowledge of the market ... the sale could not have been any easier, even if we were there to see it through ourselves."

Sandy H in Bigfork agreed. "Denise was very thorough in checking comparable properties that were close in acreage and size of the house. She had "For sale" signs up on the property right away and we started getting offers on our property. ... Closing on the property went very well ..."

Denise is equally helpful to home buyers - both in-state and out-of-state, including Canadian buyers. Frank and Lori H said this of Denise's talents when they sold their home in Bigfork to purchase another in Kalispell, "As a retired military member, we have bought and sold more homes than the average person. ... As a realtor, we found Denise to be one of the best. She is extremely knowledgeable of the real estate market across the valley."

Kevin and Brenda also felt the same. "As Canadians buying for the first time in the U.S., we were concerned about many things and she answered all our questions and more. She went over and above what an agent would do. ... [We] would recommend Denise to anyone contemplating buying or selling in the area."

Much of Denise's business is through repeat transactions or referrals because "clients become good friends" according to Denise. As Ann Marie and Tom in Ohio said, "She is thoughtful, energetic and professional in her approach to her work. We not only consider her our agent but she is a
friend as well."
